This is a model of the SpaceX Crew Dragon V2.0 I designed it so that it could be easily printed in two colors using only a single extruder. I have included a picture outlining what each part is, and its location in the model, as well as a picture showing the proper orientation for printing the white parts, and a picture showing the proper orientation for printing the black parts to reduce the risk of warping or error. The only piece that should need supports is the Dragon_Capsule_Bottom where the Draco engines are. I printed mine in ABS and used ABS cement to put all of the pieces together, however if you are printing with PLA, a little bit of superglue will hold everything together. Be sure when gluing to put some on the pin, as well as a little bit on the faces between the parts to help prevent the pieces from twisting.
Steps for Assembly:
1.) Insert and glue the Capsule_Alignment_Pin fully into the Dragon_Capsule_Mid. *Note: The alignment pins are only to keep the pieces centered. You will still need to rotate them for them to be fully lined up.
2.) Install and glue the Dragon_Capsule_Nose_Cone onto the Dragon_Capsule_Mid using the Capsule_Alignment_Pin. Make sure the high part of the circular cut on the nose cone is facing the front of the capsule as is shown in the picture. *Note: You should use the Draco housings on both pieces to line the nose cone up with the capsule.
3.) Install and glue the Dragon_Capsule_Draco onto the Dragon_Capsule_Mid.
4.) Insert and glue the Base_Alignment_Pin fully into the Dragon_Capsule_Draco.
5.) Install and glue the Dragon_Heat_Shield onto the Dragon_Capsule_Draco using he Base_Alignment_Pin to keep the heat shield centered on the capsule.
You can refer to the picture labeling the parts for additional assembly help.
