Upgrade options were limited for this new printer model and I needed an excuse to practice 3D design using Shapr3D for the IPad. This bracket will fit most LED light bars because it’s designed for use with 3M’s VHB double sided tape. I chose the $19 Asoko 7w, 14 inch usb powered light bar I found on Amazon. They make a cheaper 12” model that will fit this bracket as well. It was also designed to fit 1” wide VHB tape. The light bar comes with double sided sticky tape that also works well if you don’t have your own VHB. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y3YG8PP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
I printed this with a .6mm nozzle and .2mm layer height 30% infill, using Petg. I’m fairly certain pla and other nozzles will work just fine. Obviously, print 2 on their side for strength and no supports, brim optional.
I designed an 8 degree inward tilt at the attachment point so the light doesn’t shine in my eyes as it sits at eye level in my living room. Send me a note if you want no tilt or more tilt.
UPDATE: Added version 2.1.1 3mf file, for improved, more robust latching around gantry. Sadly, I lost the original drawing for this version, so settings may need to be changed for your printer, I don’t have the raw stl.
