This holder is designed to hold a Sony Z3 with a TPU cover. I have also tried it with a Nexus 5X (with TPU cover) and it was a tight fit. The holder has a lip on the inside which holds on to the bottom edge of the TPU cover. My phone and cover measures roughly 75 mm x 10 mm so scale accordingly to fit other phones.
Print in Flex material and mount this on the stem with nylon zip ties. I think it can be printed with a harder material as well, then you'll probably need to cut off a piece of inner tube and stick it between the holder and the stem.
