This is an adapter for the sony multi interface shoe to a generic cold shoe. It can be screwed to the multi interface shoe in order to attach it securely.
Currently the only thing that is left pretty much unchanged from the source thing is the bottom part of the adapter. That way I can at least give some attribution to the original author.
