Summary

Holds a 9v battery and allows you to connect wires to it without solder or any other metal parts.

Print the Shell with the open end facing up. Print the rest of the files with their largest flat part on the bed (you'll need to use Cura's "Select face to align to buildplate" button in the Rotation panel to get the Spring part flat on the bed).

Assembly:

  • Slide the Spring up through the slot in the Case and press against a flat surface to get it fully seated.
  • Strip off ~2.5cm of insulation from your wires and pass them through the top and bottom holes of each terminal section on the Spring as shown in the pictures (you can try using the center holes but I found the connection on the + side to be unreliable that way). Make sure you match + and -.
  • Insert a standard 9v battery. Make sure you match + and -.
  • Slide the case into the Shell and put the Cap on top.

If needed, the + and - sides of the Spring can be swapped by mirroring the Spring file in your slicer before printing.
