Tool Organizer for 3D Printing & Soldering Workspace

When I first got into 3D printing and soldering, I designed a tool holder to keep everything organized. After using it for a while, I noticed some flaws and realized a few tools were missing dedicated spots. So, I decided to improve the design.

Key Features of the New Design

• Dedicated Storage for Dremel Bits – keeps bits neatly organized and within reach.
• Fixed Slot for the Micrometer – ensures stability and easy access.
• Allen Key Slots – accommodates Allen keys ranging from sizes 1 to 10.
• Separate Rack for Wire Cutters – quick and secure storage.

Compact and Efficient Design

The holder is designed to fit within the default bed size of most 3D printers, with a maximum footprint of 225.9 x 191.6 x 45 mm. It’s easy to print without supports, and at 10% infill, it will require about 360 grams of filament.

Tool-Specific Spaces

The organizer includes dedicated spots for:

• Wire Cutters
• 18 Soldering Tips
• 18 Dremel Attachments
• Flat Spatula Scraper for 3D Printing
• Tweezers
• Post-it Pack
• Soldering Wire

Additional Slots

In addition to the main compartments, there are:

• 18 Small Round Spaces – ideal for smaller soldering tools, markers, or 3D printing accessories.
• 6 Medium Round Spaces – suitable for items like a vacuum pump, electric screwdriver, or heat shrink tube tool.
• 13 Slots for Allen Keys – organized for sizes 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 12.

And, of course, there’s even some extra room for a few additional odds and ends!
