The file 'Solder Wire Holder For Gripping Wires 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 442.8KB.
After seeing a few of these online, I wanted to design my own version that I felt has a few more improvements both aesthetically and functionally.
I wanted something lightweight and strong that would function well and best minimise the risk of having hot solder fall onto the stand and ruin it. This is why I added a large void in the centre. You could either put a container underneath the stand, add a solder wipe in the gap, or just leave it open; your choice!
While most other designed have a wedge-shaped gap, I felt it would be more functional to make the grip part more exponentially curved so that various sizes of wires are concentrated at the top and didn't fall down too deep where the pillars might get in the way when soldering. I also think this would provide more surface area for the wires to grip to as well.
My Logo on the side may appear to protrude outwards, but I can assure you it is flush with the side of the device so that it stacks nicely when placed near other boxy objects.
I hope you find my design useful and consider downloading it and printing it!
Will upload some pictures when I get a chance!
