To use the pump:
Cut the pump's tube down to fit the syrup bottle.
For the recommended "Best Body Nutrition" pumps this is aprox.:
Attention:
Do not make it too short. Try leaving it a bit longer at first to be on the safe side.
If the tube ist too long, don't try to force it in to hard. Otherwise the adapter could be damaged. If it does not fit, cut the tube down some more millimeters.
About five to six pump surges should be fine for 840ml of water (the 1l SodaStream bottles) if the recommended pump is used.
