COMPONENTS

  • Base: Main structure. Holds up to >200lb of force
  • Clips: Six clips are needed to hold the bottle to the launcher
  • Collar: Holds clips in place, interfaces with rubber bands
  • Tube_Adapter: Forms launch tube interface and O-ring seat
  • Launch_Pin: Pin that holds collar in place until launch
  • Foot: Three feet, optional, which provide additional stability

Print tips:

  • Tested with Creality Ender 3 Pro
  • All files except Tube Adapter: 20% cubic infill, no supports, 0.28mm layers, line width 0.4mm. 3-4 walls.
  • Tube Adapter: 100% infill, WITH SUPPORT, 0.28mm layers, line width 0.4mm, 3-4 walls.
  • Print orientation should be as imported into your slicer, but for clarity, the Clips should be printed on their narrow sides (beveled edges facing toward one side) and the Foot should be printed in the same orientation as installed: the ground interface flat and the tube interface as a 60 degree overhang.
  • 3D printers can vary in dimensional accuracy and PVC pipes can vary slightly in internal diameter. You may need to scale models slightly. This is only critical with the Tube_Adapter part; print this first, adjust the scale as needed (should be only 1-2%), and scale the rest of the model the same (or not- it probably won't matter). You should be fine if the Tube Adapter and Feet dry fit in your PVC pipe after a medium knock, and are hard to pull out by hand. As a reference, the flats of the outside of the collar measure 44.8mm +/- 0.4mm in the STL file.
