The file 'Snapmaker Carver/Laser Plate Alignment Tool 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 57.1KB.
This is a tool to align the CNC carver/laser engraver medium on the build plate to the x and y axes of the print head. It is used differently depending on the thickness of the medium.
If the medium is ~4mm or less, then the tool goes over the top of the clamps. For best results, the clamp bolts need to rest inside the counterbore on the holes in the tool. Washers or other spacers can be used on the bolt to raise the bolt head. The clamp bolts can be tightened through the holes in the tool. Once the medium is aligned and clamped down, the tool can be removed.
If the medium is ~4mm or more, then the tool goes under the clamps and remains in place during the engraving/carving operation.
June 12, 2018: Added a smaller version that omits the outermost holes and is printable in one piece on a Snapmaker. This one should also play better with debris fences.
