Summary

This snap-in custom cover for a USB Female breakout board offers a quick and easy way to add a USB outlet to an existing 5V power supply.

In my case, I needed to expand the Zigbee network coverage in my garage, and the compact LoraTap Zigbee Dongle seemed like the perfect solution. Since I already had a 5V power supply installed in a junction box, I needed a way to incorporate a USB outlet that wasn't part of my initial design. To address this, I designed a custom cover for a USB Female breakout board, allowing it to safely connect to the existing PSU.

The cover is designed to snap together without the need for additional fastening or glue. For those who prefer a more secure fit, I have also included a version that can be secured with M2 screws. Additionally, for further convenience, I’ve included a JST battery connector, making it easy to remove.
