There were two major issues from my perspective. Tape holder was designed for 8 slots and spacing was too narrow to fit the 8mm reels.
Secondly the height from, which components suppose to be pick up was 110mm from desk surface. As I use vacuum nozzle (made from aquarium pump) it was not convenient for me.
In my design there is space for 7 x 8mm reels. The 1mm slot help to pull tape through dispenser.

I was able to test it only with spools which have about 1k components on it. I'm not sure how it will work with brand new spools.What still might be further improved is connection between front and back base, which is not rigid enough, specially in top down direction

I recommend to print tape - tray vertically on front side. There is no need for supports but 5mm brim is recommended
