The file 'Smart Roadster Double DIN Stereo Surround / Faceplate 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.1MB.
I bought my Roadster with a double DIN stereo already fitted. The surround/faceplate fitted terribly and was held in by 4 screws through the front. So I decided to model it myself in the hope of achieving a better fit. Suffice to say it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be...
This is the 4th iteration of the design, and the first one that's probably 'good enough' to share with other people.
Note: It's not perfect, and may well require some final hand fettling to fit properly.
Also, just in case it wasn't already obvious... in order to fit this, you will require your switches in the lower position (as fitted when a trip computer in installed) - if unsure, follow this guide:
https://www.fq101.co.uk/how-to-guides/roadster/interior/329-installing-a-trip-computer
You will also need a double DIN cage / bracket - readily available on Amazon, eBay etc...
It just about fits on an Ender 3 print bed... don't bother with a skirt (there isn't space) and watch the first layer or two, to make sure it's not hanging off the edge of your build plate.
... If you feel this has been beneficial to you and you'd like to say thank you, then by all means buy me a coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/richardsimkiss. It might help me stay awake long enough to finish the next project.
