I needed a drilling machine for PCB so i designed one tested it and it out better than i expected so I decided to publish it because why not : ) As base for slider i used my custom made Rails based on DIN rails which is perfect for this type of machine. I designet it with simple lock in place system when you push handle gears are blocked and drill cannot move to change that just pull the handle in the opposite direction.
I included the STEP files so you can modify project for your motor in case if any of current diameters didn't match.
To made this work you need:
Keyless drill chuck like this one https://www.amazon.com/Mesee-0-5-3mm-Electric-Collet-Adapter/dp/B08YYM7SC6
4 V Groove Ball Bearings 4x13x6mm https://www.amazon.com/Rollerball-Bearings-Replacement-Precision-4x13x6mm/dp/B08PFRPX8Y
2 bearings 608
8mm rod about 140mm
Din rail 35mm about 125mm
DC motor (mine is 24V 32mm diameter i also designed holders for 21mm motors and 27.5mm)
8 M3 x 5mm screw
4 M4 x 25mm screw and nuts for them
4 M5 x 12mm crew and nuts for them
You also need print 2 gears and 4 spacers for Rail.
