The file 'Small Block Chevy Harmonic Balancer Zero Marker 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 21.6KB.
I needed to set the timing on an engine where the balancer had spun about 30 degrees. This stencil will use the 3 bolt holes to align itself. It will have a groove that hovers about a mm above a 6.75" balancer right where the zero-degree groove should be. You can mark it with a pencil, paint it in pink nail-polish, or whatever your preference is.
There are 3 possible positions to bolt this on. You need the long arm with the actual zero-mark stencil to point about the same direction as the keyway on the crankshaft. If you can't see the keyway, spin the engine over with the driver-side valve cover off until you see cylinder 1's exhaust valve open and it just closes. That puts cylinder 1 at the top of an exhaust stroke, so cylinder 1 should be near TDC. Then put the long arm on whatever bolt hole is closest to the timing tab on your timing cover.
Print with whatever settings you like.
I'll be testing today and will update if there are any issues.
