The file 'SMA Screw-on Cap 3D Printer Model' is (scad, stl) file type, size is 80.3KB.

Summary

Screw-on protective cap for female SMA radio frequency connectors.

Push the cap over the first half of the SMA connector's thread, then screw it through the second half. Upon initial use the SMA connector's brass thread will cut a matching thread into the cap's six flanges.

The nominal SMA thread diameter is 0.25 inches (6.35 mm). To allow for tolerances of your slicer, printer and filament I uploaded a nominal (6.35 mm) and a slightly wider (6.45 mm) .stl file.

As always I include the OpenSCAD source file for you to adapt and/or improve:

  • Download and install OpenSCAD from https://www.openscad.org
  • Launch OpenSCAD and open the enclosed OpenSCAD source file (/File/Open).
  • Amend the parameters at the top of the file or even amend the code.
  • Save your changes (/File/Save).
  • Render the design (/Design/Render).
  • Export the rendered design e.g. as a .stl file (/File/Export/Export as STL).
  • Slice and print.
