This is a kitchen or dinner table napkin holder with a slice of the LDS Salt Lake City Temple on it. I have scaled it to what I think are good dimensions for actual use, however napkin sizes do vary so I recommend measuring the size your household normally uses.
I thought it might be nice to have some weight to this object so that when you pull out a napkin from a full holder the structure doesn't move (like the office scotch tape dispensers that are made to be very heavy). For that reason I've included holes that are approximately the diameter of pennies, so that if you want more weight you can hot-glue or superglue pennies into the holes, and if you don't want more weight well then you're using less material anyway, so it's a win-win. Also I recommend adding some felt or other soft material to the bottom of the napkin holder to reduce noise and scratches.
It has a lot of detail and is a relatively large object, so it takes a long time to load and print (Cura 15.04 estimates that a high-quality print will take 5.5 days!). This is my first project, so I'm still learning how to manage the complexity of 3D models. Any suggestions are welcome. Enjoy!
v2--after closer consideration, I scaled the width of the object down a little more. Of course you are welcome to rescale it however you see fit in your own applications.
v3--added holes for potential weighting with pennies.
