Summary

Hello everyone,

with my new mount, a Skywatcher CQ350, I wanted to improve the cable management of the 12V supply as well as the holding of the SynScan hand-controller.
The SynScan hand-controller has its cable at its bottom, which is not convenient when getting it into its holder on the tripod.
I wanted to put the hand-controller holder much higher, it possible on the mount. The holder should remains straight, not rotating with the mount.

In addition, I wanted to make a 12V box in order to supply the mount correctly (I bought on Aliexpress a "Gx12 12mm/ 2pins" jack for that).
This 12V had to be placed as closed to the mount 12V input as possible in order to minimize the cable management.

There is one place left on the mount fulfilling both requirements: the end of the RA-axis.
The hand-controller is connected to the 12V box with a small metal bearing. Thanks to that, the hand-controller alwas remains straight, what ever the rotation of the RA-axis.

I share actualy a generic STL file, not the one I really used, so that you can build / gesign your own custom solution.

Print done with PLA+, in green Skywatcher color.

My 3D Printer is a Ender 5 Plus. Eventually you need to widen stuff, depending on your own printer tolerances. At least it gives you some insperations to make your own.
