The file 'Sink Strainer – Drain Catch 3D Printer Model' is (scad, stl, zip) file type, size is 923.74 KB.
If you print one, please post a Make as a "thank you".
Description:
This goes in a drain and catches stuff too big to go through the holes.
This is a corrective remix of HarlanDMii's Drain Cover that was having trouble rendering online and in OpenSCAD.
UPDATE 2015-06-16:
-- STL Version 1.9-4 has the fluted post (handle) and should be printed with high fill or a thick shell since the skinny part is prone to breaking if hollow.
UPDATE 2015-06-15:
-- I've added a non-customizer file in a zip file.
-- Added a 0.2mm "helper disk" to help printing adhesion.
I have a few more things to release in the next version, if time allows...
I don't think that they scaling feature works correctly since the the 38mm one I just tested seems to be 40mm in Makerware.
Note: I've included a "Hi Res" STL version of the 40mm file. It is probably easiest to just use that one and scale it in your slicer rather than try to customize the correct scale.
