The file 'Singer M1000 Sewing Machine Carrying Case 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 536.1KB.
Recently, I bought a mini sewing machine to do some finishing touches on a project that needed little banners. Now that I have finished, I needed an easy way to store this sowing machine, materials, and accessories for the next time that I needed it. While cases and bags already exist, they are pretty expensive and are usually made for larger sewing machines so they would take up even more space for something that I will not be using often. Therefore, I decided to make my own case!
While not perfect, and it will only work for this specific sewing machine and maybe the knock offs that are similar, this is a good enough model for my needs so I decided I would share.
Current Problems:
-latch placement is about a 1/32" off so it doesn't fully engage with the lid
-handle opening is too narrow for my fingers to fully wrap around, but it is still comfortable enough from me to carry
-the lid can be printed with minimum supports, but the bridging for the middle section never provided enough support for the layers above so that area is slightly flexible
Features:
-stores up to 41 rolls of thread
-ridges keep the rolls of thread aligned
-two side compartments for storing additional materials and tools
-base can store machine facing either direction, however the lid must be facing the right direction for the thread selection dial
-requires around 1.5 kg of filament
-requires a 300x300x300 print volume
