The file 'Simple DMX Video Projector Shutter 3D Printer Model' is (zip, stl, ino) file type, size is 98.3KB.

Summary

This is a very simple DMX shutter for video projector when there is a need to cut out VP beam for total dark on stage (even a dark image produce some light).
It sit on top of the VP and a servo controlled palette come in front of the lense when needed.
While there is a lot of possibilities to control a video projector shutter, I prefer DMX solution because you can easily control the shutter far away from PC or light console with a simple XLR cable. It is cheap and reliable.

-based on Max 485 and Arduino pro mini because it is cheaper.
-3D enclosure included, 2 files, the box and the cover, print 0.2 with support for the box. They must be glued together.
-Arduino sketch. ino included, you'll need FTDI to program.
-PCB Gerber included, I use JLCPCB, just upload the zip, less than 5 euros for 5 PCB.
-USB-C connector for 5V alim, I use these ones:

-XLR male chassis Neutrik NC3 MAH
-MG995 servo for its metal gear.
-Palette STL file included, print in PLA or ABS. PLA was tested with no issue regarding to the VP heat. It handle very well.

DMX address is programmed into the Arduino sketch and there no encoder to set the address on the fly.
Buy default I use DMX address 512 but you can change it in the sketch as you wish.
Reprograming is also possible afterward but it is better to have the Arduino board removed in this case as you might come to an issue with the PIN RX connected to the MAX485.
So better choose in this case female removable pin header for the Arduino.
