….I used David Glaze's - Silent Auto-Rewinding Gravity Spoolholder (reworked Michal Fanta's - Gravity Spoolholder for MMU2S) and Tritschi's - Tire for SILENT Auto-Rewinding Gravity Spoolholder

I designed a new lightweight base. The original version required about 140g of filament, the other bases I found required about 100g of filament. This new one requires about 60 g and can be fitted with a PC4-M10 connector for PTFE tube… There are also two mounting holes for fixing with screws.

Next, I created three types of thin pads that can be glued to the tire rails.
Personally, I recommend using the smooth version printed on a smooth sheet. I used Fiberlogy Fiberflex 30D filament. Next, glue this pad upside down on the rails (turn the surface that was originally on the smooth printing sheet side up).

If you want, you can also experiment with the other two types of pads. These can also be printed from PLA as they have spikes/lines on their surface to ensure the wheels don't unwanted slip, but I would still prefer smooth TPU pads which has sufficient slip resistance and looks nice. It's up to you and your experimentation :)

You can download my prepared gcode/prusaslicer files for PLA/Flex materials (for the printer Prusa Mk4) or you can use *.STEP or *.STL model for your own custom modifications :).
