The coupling of the Z-axis rod and extruder-carriage the on my Sidewinder X4 Plus has so much play when changing directions, that Ieveling and printing is basically impossible. The Custom Section below has video with a comparison of this before and after installing the stabilizers.
Print 4 of these and stick them facing each other on both sides of both couplings like in the images below. After installing these, you should not be able to move the belt on top anymore without the Extruder going up or down.
Also, I'm assuming Artilerry new about this problem, because they have specifically commented out part of the probing logic in klipper that would stop with an error when probing fails multiple times. Their code just gives up and uses the last bad values, and doesn't tell you. It shouldn't really matter (because probing hopefully won't fail anymore), but if you want, you can ssh into your printer and look at the git diff of the run_probe
function in /home/mks/klippy/extras/probe.py
and revert the change they made. Do not revert any other changes in that file, they are necessary!
