After a failed print moving the plate of my Sidewinder X4 Plus back and forth by hand started to make a crazy noise and and the belt was really hard to move in some places (It still printed and sounded fine while printing though). When I looked into it, I discovered that a string of filament from the failed print was somehow stuck around the pulley of the Y-axis motor. When I removed it, moving the plate sounded and felt normal again.
To prevent this from happening again, I designed this cover for the Y-motor pulley and belt. There is some space below the metal cover that is already there, so you can just unscrew that one, place it back together with the new cover, and screw it back in with the same screws. This has little tolerance to the metal cover not quite press-fit, but close.
I'm guessing it might also work for the other X4 printers, but I didn't look into that.
