I needed to descale my shower head. Just dumping it in descaling solution did not do the trick. So I printed an adapter from a PET bottle to the threads of my shower head.
To use it fill up a bottle with descaling solution (citric acid) screw on top of your shower head an let the solution run slowly through it. I let it sit in a bucket for multiple hours and pressed the bottle multiple times to force new solution to run through the shower head. Worked great.
I modeled a second adapter for smaller hand showers that need a female thread.
The fit of the bottle to the adapter came out a bit leaky for me. This was no problem as everything was placed in a bucket to descale. You could use a finer print or some kind of sealing tape to eliminate the leakage.
