Summary

As this thing has grown to about engough files and tiles to build a complete magnetic ship deck by deck, I decided to rename it to Ship Construction Remix for Openforge Tiles Utilising Magnets - S.C.R.O.T.U.M.
Please see the Remixed from-files for further things to create the boat of your dreams.
Added some pictures, main deck not yet finished (aftcastle is resting on a can of tuna..)
But I think now you can get a better impression of where this is going :-)

As we are currently playing the Skull & Shackles AP in our Pathfinder Group, I wanted to print a ship for our group. I do love devonjones OpenForge pirate ship, but wanted to be more flexible and needed something that I can print on my MPSMv2 and its relatively small printbed. Then I found ProfessorChubbs boat tiles, but I have to say that I prefer OpenForges magnetic system. So i cut up some pieces and want to share them.

Build the railings like a regular OpenForge floor piece with two 5mm ball magnets, and it attaches nicely to the side of a regular wooden floor.
The "stairs down" one goes on a 1x1 Openforge magnetic base, using only 3 magnets and leaving the space next to the lowest part free, maybe put some black paper under there or something. Creates a 2x1 stairs down tile, that feels much better than the other options i tried.

I didn't get around to testprinting all the things yet, if there are any issues or so please feel free to comment.

Currently trying to figure out the raised parts for stern- and aftercastle.
As of now it seems to be about 3-4 weeks of printing per deck, when printing about 6-8h a day on a single printer. One deck measures 21x6 inches (promise of man from the wormwood mutiny)

More to come :-)
