Summary

This is an adaptor to allow you to use a standard Hollowtech II bottom bracket tool with some of Shimano's newer bb's that have a smaller diameter than traditional external bb cups. Specifically this is designed to work with the BB-MT800 (tested) and SM-BBR60 bb's from Shimano.

The adaptor is equivalent to Shimano's own TL-FC25 tool. It's design to be a tight fit on the bb.

I recommend you use a fully encircled tool (such as the Park Tool BBT-9) when using this adaptor, instead of one of the half moon style ones, to prevent the adaptor deforming/stripping.

I've tested this with a Lezyne EXBBT-CLT tool (pictured) on a BB-MT800 bottom bracket and it works perfectly.
