In a not so quiet town called Auckland, there lived a man named Wade, a lifelong fan of Lego. His latest creation, a sprawling medieval castle complete with knights, dragons, and a suspiciously modern coffee shop, was his crowning achievement. He spent weeks building it, carefully snapping each brick into place with the precision of a master craftsman.
Finally, the day came when Wade decided it was time to showcase his masterpiece. He had the perfect spot in mind—a shelf in his living room, where everyone who visited could admire his work. With a proud grin, he hoisted the castle up and began to place it on the shelf.
But as the castle's base touched the wood, something felt... off. The shelf wobbled. Wade, puzzled, stepped back and examined it. To his horror, he realized that one of the shelf supports on the far corner was missing!
Before he could react, the shelf tilted dangerously. Time seemed to slow down as the magnificent Lego castle slid off, plummeting towards the ground. Wade reached out in desperation, but it was too late. The castle smashed into a million tiny pieces, scattering Lego bricks across the floor like lollies at a scramble.
Wade stood frozen, mouth agape, staring at the carnage before him. His once-proud castle was now a chaotic pile of bricks, and his dreams of showing it off to the world were shattered, just like the tiny plastic walls.
But as he stood there in shock, a thought began to form in his mind. Why, he wondered, should anyone have to suffer the heartbreak of a wobbly shelf ever again? Determined not to let his misfortune be in vain, Wade set out on a new mission.
He dashed to his workbench, ideas buzzing in his head. Armed with the scars of despair like Lego on soft feet , Wade designed the most brilliant shelf support the world had ever seen. It was strong, not at all adjustable, and, most importantly, completely wobble-proof.
He printed a single support on his 3D printer, in clear PLA so it sparkled in the sun like Brickman's tears during an elimination round of Lego Masters Australia.
He tested his invention (that someone, somewhere else had invented before him) on his own shelf, placing what remained of his castle on it. The shelf held firm—no wobble, no tilt, just perfect stability.
Thrilled with his success, Wade didn’t stop there. He shared his invention with friends, neighbors, and even posted it online. Soon, people everywhere were building his shelf supports, fixing wobbly shelves in homes around the world.
Wade's invention became a sensation. People started calling him "The Wobble Wizard," and he even got a patent (no he didn't) for his design. What began as a tragedy turned into a triumph, and though his Lego castle might have been lost, Wade had created something even more incredible.
And so, thanks to Wade, shelves everywhere stood firm, and Lego models were safe from sudden disasters. As for Wade, he was already busy planning his next great Lego creation—this time, with a shelf that would never, ever wobble.
