A family member showed me a video on Instagram of a product like this that had a set of tiles held together by a stainless steel bead chain, each tile increasing in size by a quarter inch and with the side length etched into it. I offered to make a set for them instead and this is the result.
The original design has each tile as 1/4" thick, version 2 is just 1/8" thick.
The hole has a diameter of 3/16".
The edges of the hole are also 3/16" away from the edges.
