I'm using this to grow herbs in my kitchen, it works great. Herbs normally require a lot of watering, but with this design there is a big water reservoir, that way watering is only required once every few days. I've hung mine on the wall - it's very decorative.
There is a big water spout for filling water. It can be turned whatever way desired, i've got mine outwards for easy access.
The insert is very easy to get up and clean, replant or swap. The 3 strings make a decorative edge.
It can also just stand, if you don't feel like hanging it.
I recommend printing several in different colors and size (just scale the stl).
