This design uses irrigation strings to wick the water up into the soil, which is superior method as the soil doesn't get excessively waterlogged.

Although I didn't remix anyone's models, there are at least several designs that operate in a similar way, including 2120583, 1705463, 4276363, 2724540.
I have two designs for this purpose, and this is the original one which is perhaps the more robust option. The other, newer, type 4864503 is much more economical of time and material, though it does lack the tripod option.
