Car has gone :( This will be developed no further, edit, remix, do what you want to make it better.
Regards
P.S. Use the 'tapered.stl' file - the 'Final' wasn't! It's been left for you to fiddle with if required.
EDIT: 23/4/2018 - Changed the locating part to a tapered design (.stl says 'Tapered'), this SHOULD give a more snug fit - hold off on trying this until I have - printing it now.
Stay tuned . . . . .
EDIT: 23/4/2018 - Yup, it fits FAR better, feels securely located and is now on the car.
Download, print, install, enjoy!
EDIT: 22/4/2018 - Just updated the stl, weirdly I already output the file from Fusion360 but made a slight error - the addition of the 'extra meat' around the 'outer retaining lugs' wasn't combined with the rest of the model. Basically it wasn't any different from the previous version! :(
Also, this version has slightly shallower dimples on the front - they were breaking thru to the shell and you can see holes in the first photo. That's fixed now.
Hopefully this version locates a bit more firmly, the last fitted but wasn't really hanging onto the vent enough, a good blast of hot air and it would've dropped off.
It DOES say this is a work in progress . . . . . . .
Just for the heck of it I decided to design this.
I was sat there, bored, waiting for my Wurth system to finish it's diagnostic and I started to fiddle!
Right in front of me is a vent - I start to play, and then I decide to remove the knob on the front of it!
Whilst it's sat there in my hand I thought 'This would be good practice to design this in Fusion360' . . . . . . . . so I did!
I used PLA, I don't expect it to do so well in the heat but it's a bit of fun, white or red knobs look really striking against the rest of the interior.
Enjoy!
