Summary

This is the third version of the strap clip I published to use on my Seal Line backpack. I wanted a clip to hold the loose end of the strap to the fixed end on the waist belt. I have used V3 for a few months now. This revision is solid. I have yet for the two straps to separate.

Printer: Metal Printrbot Simple
Resolution: 0.25mm layer height
Filament: 1.75mm Metallic Midnight Blue PLA

What I learned from V2:
The opening for both the rear and front strap in the same place proved to be problematic. The overall thickness was also a problem for my old printer and it was very brittle. The strap would slip out occasionally.

What I learned from V1:
The overall thickness was unnecessary for holding the strap together. For this reason I wanted the for the slimmer profile. It helped reduce material, but at the same time increased printing accuracy. I also found I needed a different way to insert the strap. The strap would slip out quite often. I found inserting both straps from the same side with a divider worked much better. Only one strap can enter or exit at a time because of the center divider.
