Summary

This is a combined seahorse feeder and frag holder for 1 inch pvc pipe. The connection for the pipe will be very tight and you may need some solvent or a heat gun to get the pieces together. (you don't want it to fall apart)

There are 2 versions a small and a large. The large has a flange to sit under the sand to aid in keeping upright. It also has more room between hitch posts and the feeder.

Seahorses tend to hitch on verticle rods vs horizontal. This combined with the fact horizontal rods do not print well made be make this feeder. Next having an ugly pvc pipe in your tank is not practical. Add some frag holders and then the PVC pipe can be encrusted with corals making for a more natural looking feeder. If you have the time, mix concrete with agronite and lots of rock salt. Place this over most of the PVC pipe and holders and you will get a light weight rock like structure that is very porous and will act as part of the live rock foundation.

If printed in PLA it WILL slowly degrade which is not bad. PLA will provide carbon which the bacteria will consume with the nitrates and phosphates. Similar to vodka dosing. If you want a long lasting item I recommend PETG which is easier to print than ABS and will not break down.
