The file 'Sea Of Thieves Peculiar Relic 3D Printer Model' is (stl, sldprt, step, zip) file type, size is 1.5MB.
FINALLY, an easy, safe, error free filament printable SOT egg!
CAD files included so you can modify or add variations.
Designed for filament printability:
-Smooth flat bottom for strong buildplate adhesion
-Limited overhangs where I could to 60 degrees
-Solid, watertight model without errors
-Jewel clearance of 0.2mm
Recommended Slicer settings:
-2 walls/shells, Inside to Outside
-Z Seam: Sharpest corner, Hide
-4 Top layers, 3 Bottom
-Travel: Not On Outer Surface
-Top/Bottom Pattern: Concentric
-Bottom Pattern Initial Layer: Lines! I had trouble starting first layer until I found this setting in Cura. You will have to Configure Setting Visibility and check the box, then change
-Bottom Pattern Initial Layer to LINES. First layer does NOT adhere well when starting a spiraling circle from center. But ALL the rest should be Concentric.
-Infill: 17%, Grid Pattern, Skin Edge Support Layers = 1
-Experimental: Make Overhangs Printable, Maximum Model Overhang = 60 degrees
-Jewels:
Infill 10% GRID
2 walls / shells
Top/Bottom Pattern: Concentric
Bottom Pattern Initial Layer: Lines!
*Speed: VERY SLOW! With such small buildplate surface area and part size, patience is key. I limit mine to 25mm/s
IF USING CURA, and you have vertical lines of bumps around model, it is NOT from model design infill or Z seam! When I sliced with different program and printed, they disappeared and model was perfect! So try a different slicer if you see them.
Scaling larger should not be a problem as long as you scale egg AND Jewels the same scale
