The file 'SCX10 Skid Plate. High Clearance, Flat Bottom 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 50.7KB.
Center skid plate for the Axial SCX10 RC crawler. This gives you a little more ground clearance to prevent getting hung up. This skid plate DOES affect link geometry slightly.
There are 2 version, once for the stock links using Axial brand ball ends, and one for the popular Traxxas Revo rod ends. The axial balls are a little wider than Revo balls, that's the only difference. If you print the revo ball version, axial rod ends won't fit.
You will also need long M3 grub screws for the lower links on the skid plate. I would say at LEAST 18mm long, so M3x18. But I would recommend even longer. M3x20 to M3x26 would work great. This will ensure enough strength on both ends. Upper link hardware should stay the same, as well as mounting the skid itself.
Photos attached are printed in Taulman3D Alloy 910 and I'm sure it will hold up great. I think ABS or PETG would work well too. I would stay away from PLA unless you are gentle on your rigs.
NOTE:
User dcfox brings up a good point in the comments:
"...but anyone who is going to use this should be aware...that it's going to shorten your wheelbase by about 5/8"...because it moves the lower link mounts upward. You'll need to build new lower links to get the wheelbase back where it belongs."
