Summary

Designed up this canister to give as a gift to my groomsmen and best man. Main chamber held a bottle for an alcoholic drink and the top compartment held our cufflinks. The top and bottom rotate 90 degrees and slide out of each other and are held in place by magnets. The middle white part of my canisters were made of 3" I.D. PVC with a wall thickness of .25". I have included a part to print in place of that. The middle could be made taller or shorter to your needs, Just needs an ID of 3" and OD of 3.5". All of the parts that don't slide together are glued in place. Dry fit them before gluing. Each canister required 8 magnets. You could go without magnets and probably be ok, I just like the snap of the magnets. Magnets listed below. Letters on mine are cut from vinyl.

Below is quantities(#) and print settings I used. Designed with .3mm clearances.

Printing:

Base01 (1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, Support everywhere 80 degrees
BasePlug01 (1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support
Connector01 (2) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support
Handle01 (1) -.2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support
Top01 (1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, Support everywhere 80 degrees
TopCap01 (1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support
Nest01 (1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support
PVC-Sub (Substitute for PVC Pipe,1) - .2mm layer height, 10% Cubic infill, No Support

Assembly:

Glue magnets into holes if desired, double check polarity before gluing to ensure proper function. Glue base plug into base01. Glue both connectors and nest to PVC/Pipe/PVC-sub. Place handle through top01, glue top cap into top01 around the handle, keep glue away from handle to make sure it can move. Allow parts time to dry and then connect them together.
