The file 'Schlegelmilch 1896 Trials Rifle Replica 3D Printer Model' is (blend, stl) file type, size is 29.8MB.
This is a work in progress of one of the truely forgotten weapons.
Louis August Schlegelmilch is a known designer at the Spandau Weapons factory and was responsible for the bolt on the Gewehr 1888, germanys first enbloc clip fed single stack rifle with smokeless powder.
Due to his involvement in this rifle that was good but had many flaws his design seemed to be deemed less.
Regardless he'd sadly loose to a one on a century rifle design which was the Mauser brothers system 1898 or today known as "Gewehr 98".
Regardless his design is eligant, uses resources very well and is a pleasure opticially as well as mechanically.
These rifles were in real life produced just for the trials and for german aristrocacy in very few numbers and remain other destroyed or in private collections.
Two of them were given to Wilhelm II, german statesman/ emporer during 1890s till the german revolution after WW1.

My goal is to keep this historic piece alive.
IMO this rifle had very great potiantial, even compared to the winner this was a tighter action with very few spots were dirt and dust can intervene into this action.
But print this for yourself to find out.
