Summary

Hello,

[update, Sept. 2024: See bottom for description of changes.]

the task was to make a adapter/ holder/ clip for the Saphe Drive Pro. Usage of the sticky pads that came in the box, is no option, since my car should stay clear of any glued holder solution.

On thingiverse, there is a handful of adapters for the Saphe Drive Pro, however only angled versions of the type that came in the box.
There are sun visor solutions for other things like garage door remotes, etc.

However, on amazon, ebay actually are some sun visor clips available for the mentioned device, however they're ridiculously expensive and are just "slide over" type of holders.

The design that is proposed here, uses the original adapter-plate holes and imitates the adapter-plate that came in the box.

A small design should do it.

I designed it to be asymmetrical, since it can be printed sideways in just one piece with a reduced amount of supports, where the snap-in noses are placed.

Update with v12/R2 - Sept. 2024: Added low profile teeth on the clamp's inside for a better grip. Using PETG without teeth leads to loosing the needed grip tension. Also, if you can change to ASA material, do it - this makes the item more temperature-resistant to keep the mechanical tension.

Happy printing.
Hannes
