The former president has got a brand-new bag: Barack Obama stopped by the Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. to serve as Santa Claus. As seen in posts from the hospital, the former president showed up wearing a Santa hat and carrying a bag full of gifts for patients.
"Your surprise warmed our hallways and put smiles on everyone’s faces!" Children's National wrote on Twitter. "Our patients loved your company…and your gifts!" In video from the December 19 visit, Obama met a big crowd of carolers singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and cheering.
