Based on a series of Sandmann universal chassis/frame based vehicles
PU-474, PU 484, PU 485 started app. 1973

Initially my design of this vehicle shared the same design I have used anyway on the later made snow plower https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6561535.

Bit I did not like the much prismatic design, it has been changed in to that used on the street cleaner.

Probably the PU-474 started a new design concept on the small service cars.
That was the new rectangled/prismatic style instead of the 1950's / 1960's everything round shaped design.

This new design can be found on many more cars.

The PU-585 (on first picture) started a series of my models.
After that the design (mostly the corners, inclined surfaces) was slightly modified and became the PU-584 street cleaner car.

This thing (PU-585) became to big to hold all the variations I have already made.
Now spin offs (the individual configurations) appear on their own Thingiverse things entries. It takes time.

Basically the chassis of the Sandamann service and firebrigsde cars are the same.

More versions of this universal service vehicle with files / modifikations can be found on the other projects based o this thing.

The models version I have designed differ a bit.
The main difference is in the shape of the base platform.
The big edges was depicted on the first made model drawing of the water tank and truck vehicle.
Have changed later from the big space wasting beveled edges on the rear of the car to much smaller now on the thing 6491782.

For now (and ever?) this thing index PU-585 vehicle lives on in the form of the modified Sandmann street cleaner vehicle with index PU-548.

Finaly the lovely Sandmann gets (back) one more universal multi purpose vehicle.
This time the PU-585, from the TV episode emptying the garbage bins.
Of course this vehicle can do more, i.e. with a big water tank spraying water over the asphalt, removing dirt,...

On the back the "Palast der Republik" the white building that had many galleries, big theater hall, restaurants, bars , disco with biggest european light organ on the ceiling, bowling, conference rooms, spaces for exhibitions, concerts & much more, built by the GDR poeple for the poeple.
To me it was the perfect place for having fun, relaxation, get education, even joining demonstration of political will. No problem.
It was a big fun each time I entered and enjoyed many good times.

Infamiously trashed/scratch by the western bad asses (West Germany=FRG).
