I recently traded up for the new S24Ultra & the phone no longer fits in my cup holder. I decided to create a wireless charging dock that fits in front of the shifter in my Kia Stinger. I should have expected it, but nothing on this thing is square. The last pic I shared is for reference inside the car & it shows how badly my "square" assumptions fit with my first printed version. I also ended up using modeling clay to get around the crazy fitment issues. Sometimes there are no better (on the cheap, anyhow) ways to get good measurements for the design. :)
This project is taking me longer than expected, so I will be sharing the model without the charging portion in order to at least submit something before the "Lynk & Co Car Gadget Challenge" deadline.
Since I'm not exactly an electronics whiz, I purchased an inexpensive wireless charger via Amazon & disassembled it. I'm designing this dock around the electronic goodies from inside it. I will be updating this post with items purchased and a detailed how-to .... as it comes available.
