Summary

Here is one of the the ultimate functional designs. Here is a battery clip for the Ryobi One batteries that gets 18V out wherever you need it. Couple that with the 5v USB regulator you can purchase from Amazon for a few bucks (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CPYYAFA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01)
or a variable power and current supply module (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OZGVL4O?keywords=adjustable%20power%20regulator&qid=1449899295&ref_=sr_1_4&sr=8-4)
and you've got one rechargable and portable power supply for all of your needs. Most laptops run at around that voltage as well so with the right regulator and plug assembly, you could have a never ending source for your laptop or tablet power. I put pigtails on mine so I can change what I use it for. My current applications are 1. attch the variable voltage module and set it for 7.2 volts, thorow it in a backpack and use it to power my Sony a55 digital camera for a yet untertermined period of time and I also use it with the USB charger cable to power my iPhone when it is on a tripipod as a great video recorder (see my printable iPhone tripod mount)
