The file 'Russian Tank Tow Cable Hardware (1/16th Scale) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 2.7MB.
This is a Russian Tow Cable end and shackle, with pin.
I got the design of the cable end from Salin10's 1/10th Scale KV-1 model. I modified it slightly:
1) I made the loop big enough to fit the Heng Long 1/16th KV-1 towing shackles.
2) I made the cavity for the wire to have an internal set of "teeth" so that when you get superglue in there it will harden and form a plug that cannot easily pull out.
The shackle is similar to the stock Heng Long shackle, but rather than be a snap-on part like the stock piece, I made this one have through holes. It is then mounted to the mounting lug using a pin, like originals. This is stronger than a snap-on part.
To fix the pin in place, stick the pin through the shackle ears and mounting lug. Then heat a flat-bladed screwdriver with a torch and melt the end of the pin, mushrooming it into a head. When cool, the pin will have a head on both ends, securing the shackle in place.
I printed these with a FlashForge Adventurer 3 light, set on "Fine" setting.
