Update 2.
Added RC-case-32.stl this is for the smaller 32mm lens protectors (ebay).
Update - made a bunch of mounts - mainly because the original gopro mount are breaking.
I mostly printed in flexible TPU except for the shoes, this is because the sticky pads don't stick well to TPU. I used PLA for the shoes.
My blackhawk helment has a ridge in the middle - so there is a special shoe for that.
These are some things to mount a runcam2 on a helmet or a gopro mount.
The cases take a aprox 33-34mm lens protector.
One will fit on a gopro type mount and the other has an original octagonal mount.
The helmet and runcam2 octomounts are intended to be held together with 24mm flat round magnets but this is untested because I don't have any yet.
I expect I may make the magnet separation less if I follow it through.
I was hoping I could locate the camera on the mount while it is on my head but I'm not sure this will work (while flying) so I switched to using gopro parts.
The gopro style mount has a hole intended for a zip-tie around the camera. This or the tie could be used to attach a string in case the mount breaks.
I have a gopro as well but the runcam2 is cheaper, lighter and not quite as extreme in wide-angle. It shoots very nice 1080p but doesn't do 4K video or 12MP stills.
Don't expect a printed case to be as tough as a gopro case - this isn't for extreme sports.
