Summary

RummiKub (supports more players)

inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1428474

  1. There are two sizes of tiles, a travel size and the 30% larger original size.
  2. Each color has two sets of numbers but only one joker, as laid out in kit.
  3. STL's are grouped into logical print jobs.
  4. Print inserts upside down so shinny, flared out side is facing out (fits in tile better too).
  5. Inserts designed to snap in with moderate pressure from fingers or smooth object.
  6. Suggest the tolerance test first to confirm how well inserts fit into tiles.
  7. Official game rack holds 24 tiles, my large rack holds 35 tiles.
  8. How to play: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rummikub
  9. I included the underline inserts for 6 & 9 tiles, but decided not to use them on mine.

WHY??? The original game only supports up to 4 players (4 colors) and we always have more that want to play. I figured we can support more people by adding additional colors. We'll use the original game for 2-3 players and the printed version for 4-6+ players. I'll be printing a 6th color very soon.

Print Settings

2 shells for everything

TILES

.30 Nozzle, .20 layer height, 30% fill, 4 solid bottom and 4 solid top layers

NUMBERS

The numbers can have less solid layers, but same resolution as tiles.

Print 2 tile sets for each set of numbers (a color set). Only 1 joker for each color.

NOTE: If your filament is more transparent, you may need more than 4 layers to prevent see-through..

Large Rack (for Original Tiles)

2-Large_Rack_Side (per player)
5-Large_Rack_Holder (per player)
3 or 4-Large_Rack_Support (per rack)
This rack is for the original sized tiles. Tolerance adjusted for LOW resolution, fast printing. All rack pieces print at .40 nozzle, .30 layer height, 20% fill. 3 solid layers on top, but only 2 solid layers on bottom. This rack holds at least 30 tiles.

Travel Rack

This one part was remixed from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1428474
It was to large for my print bed so I cut it in half in a zigzag shape for an easy glue job. I did not print this as I wanted the larger tiles and collapsing rack for myself.

Updates

06/17/16:: Added V2 of Large_Rack_Holder, with Key Hole in end, and added Large_Rack_Tray_Latch, which is a small key to keep tray from sliding out of right side. New pic of rack assy shows the right side where the changes took place.

New Tiles

01/21/2020 Added tile 14 and 15 as requested by a user. I like the idea, I may add it to my version of the game, which we still play regularly.
