Summary

Hello fellow printers!

This set of ruins is designed to be assembled in the most easy but still most versatile way. Just print a few wall sections and several copies of the pillars and the rubble. Then glue the parts together with pillars at the corners. With the rubble parts as footings you don't even need to create a base for your walls.

Printing

  • This print is designed for resin printing but don't hesitate to try it with your FDM printer and post the results!
  • The full set you see on the pictures took me about 600ml of resin.
  • Since I could not manage to get the parts perfectly plane on the underside you should lower the STL file about 0.2mm below the print plate
  • No supports or rafts should be needed when these parts are printed upright in resin.

Tips for the building process

  • Use sandpaper to flatten some parts if necessary.
  • Cut some single bricks from Styrofoam to add them to your bases and cover any flaws.
  • Mirror your parts for more variety!
  • put together two rubble parts to create a whole standalone pile
  • consider putting some parts together beforehand in you slicer
