This design is a case for a photography filter/filter assemblies or other cylindrical objects. I know there are many out there but this one is special. First of all it is a very rugged design to protect your expensive equipment on the field, secondly it features a "turn-to-lock" mechanism (clockwise=lock, counter-clockwise=open) and finally cutouts for an easy access to take the filter out/put it back in.
