I made a small rubber band pistol with low complexity that a 3yo can use.
I made this for my daughter and my nephew and have since given it to a few of their friends as well and all of the children thought it was great.
If you where searching for a rubber band pistol that gets high marks from 3-5 year olds this is what you where looking for. (May also work as an office concealed carry.)
In addition to the printed parts you will need:
1x 5mm to 10mm M3 screw
1x spring from a ball point pen
Use the shortspring base if your spring is less than 25mm. I found while building these that ballpoint pen springs vary wildly. in the long version the distance form trigger to back of the spring canal is 21mm, in the short version it is 15mm. You will need about 5mm of pre compression or it won't feel right.
