Summary

This 10/22 magazine loader is designed to work with the stock rotary magazines. It works best on mags that are hooked at the top and have an ejector side angled exit. Butler creek mags and hot lips are not going to work with this version.

It takes some practice to use. You must keep the knob rotated CCW as the rounds initially feed down to the magazine. If you don't do this, it will double feed and jam. It takes a little practice to feel and rock the handle back as you load. It is also necessary to hold it at an angle as you work it. The correct angle is easily determined because it is the one that works. The hopper is also designed to accept what I think is a standard size CCI .22lr ammo box lid, if you want to have a clear lid.

The test print used less than 200 grams of PLA+ with a .2mm layer height, 3 walls, 12% cubic infill and tree support everywhere using a brim. Printing the "stuffer" seperately with 5+ walls and higher infill might be better for strength.

There are also several styles of "stuffer", that i made but have not fully tested. They are experiments to see if one is better, not iterative improvements. The stuffer may need a "precision fit" by powering it through any interfenerce withe metal mag lips.

(You will need an hour of careful sanding to smooth out the hopper center feed groove and use some common sense where to scrape and smooth. The hopper floor plate is probably the most annoying fitting job, but I didn't want it loose.) If rounds don't feed into the rotostuffer area, you may need to open up the hopper feed exit, it is ramped slightly smaller at the rim side or use/design a better stuffer. The magazine area is very tight because making it more loose is easier than tightening it up.
